President Bush signs Homeland Security Bill for nearly $35 Billion - are we safer?
Funds to be spent for a border fence, nuclear detection equipment but no money for defense of chemical plants and improved screening of cargo traveling by air, question remains - will we be safer?
Mission Viejo, CA
- Last week President Bush signed a homeland security bill that includes an overhaul of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and $1.2 billion for fencing along the America-Mexico border to stop illegal immigration. Most bills are signed into law in the Oval Office at the White House; however President Bush made his commitment to national security where many of the funds will be spent, by signing this legislation in Arizona.
Opinion Polls have shown that homeland security is a top concern among voters for this coming election. By selecting to sign this bill in Scottsdale, AZ, President Bush has acknowledged his understanding of the voter's concerns for security. It took congress several months and attempts to bring a bill that President Bush would agree to sign.
When personal security is factored in, we may ask ourselves if we are doing
everything we can do to insure our own security, and for families
without life insurance, the answer is no! While our Federal Government
works to make our borders secure, real 'home' land security starts
at home. It could take months to research and find the life insurance
that will give a family security. Research on the web can shorten
the time frame, go to www.SpectrumDirect.com
and take advantage of this site's ability to instantly compare rates
from leading life insurance companies. If personal security is an
important issue, and getting it resolved in the best and fastest
manner matters, www.SpectrumDirect.com can make the difference.
